Magaliesburg Boarding Facility was a project consisting of the construction of a boarding facility for underprivileged school children. The project comprised the construction of 240 residential units, a dining hall and kitchen, administration building, amphitheatre, and sports facilities. The electrical services included 100kW of grid-tied PV, 1.2MVA parallel standby generators, and a 1MVA utility electricity supply. The design included all low voltage reticulation and building services including the standby power and PV plant. The project was completed in September 2015 with a value of electrical work of R15 million.
