Lancet Laboratory’s new facility was constructed in Rustenburg. The building includes facilities for pathology, haematology, chemistry labs, cut-up areas, cytology and histology, along with support areas, offices and external building works. The scope of work included all low voltage installations from the municipal supply, provisions for all electronic services in coordination with the client’s service providers, and all mechanical and HVAC installations, including specialist extraction for hazardous substances such as formalin. The project was completed in March 2023. The electrical and mechanical value of the work undertaken was R 3.5 million.
